How it works

Trade Magic cards with people you'll actually meet.

myTCG.Club is a members-only place for Magic players at U-M and around Ann Arbor to keep track of their cards, find what they're missing nearby, and trade in person.

  1. Step 1

    Add your cards

Paste a list from Moxfield, ManaBox, Arena, MTGGoldfish, TCGplayer and others, or pick a file. Then choose which ones you'd trade: that's your binder.

  2. Step 2

    Say what you're after

Search any card and tap Want. Pick one printing, or let any printing count (we skip the ones that cost twice as much as the cheapest).

  3. Step 3

    See who nearby has it

Cards you want light up when a member has them in their binder, closest people first. You'll also see who wants cards you have.

  4. Step 4

Make an offer, then meet up

Pick cards from both sides and add cash or Club Credit if it helps. Prices are shown so it's easy to keep things fair. Meet at a club night or store, swap, and both confirm it happened.

Questions

Who can join?+
Anyone with a umich.edu email gets straight in: students, faculty, staff, and alumni if able. Alumni also keep their account by adding a personal email, in case the umich.edu email expires. Players around Ann Arbor without a U-M address join with a referral code from a member they play with.
What's Club Credit?+
The club's store credit. You get it from prizes, selling cards at the club desk, and $5 on your birthday. Spend it in trades like cash, or on the club's own cards, which sell for credit only.
Does anyone see where I live?+
No. If you set your area, others only see a rough distance, rounded so it can't be pinned down. You can use any nearby address, or none at all, though at least a zip code is extremely helpful for user experience.
Who sees my collection?+
You choose in Settings. Your full collection is private unless you share it; trading only needs your binder and wishlist.
Where do prices come from?+
Public market price data, refreshed daily. They're a guide for fair trades, not an offer to buy.
What makes myTCG.Club safe?+

Because everyone here is local and verified: a U-M student, faculty or staff member or alum, or someone a member vouched for. They're real people you'll see at club night, sit across from at the store, and trade with face to face. You can get to know them and trust them in person, and they're accountable here the same way they would be anywhere else in town. No anonymous accounts, no one to hide behind.

“Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”
- Mike Tyson

Not that we're recommending the punching. If someone does cross a line, report them and a local admin will step in.

Free, and it takes a minute to join.
